Levi’s® Trucker and Sherpa Jacket with Jacquard™ by Google
If you purchase a Levi’s® Trucker and Sherpa Jacket with Jacquard™ by Google (the “Jacket”) in the USA, the Limited Product Warranty (US Market) terms are available at http://global.levi.com/forms/Levi's_Jacquard_Warranty.pdf. If you purchase the Jacket outside the USA, the following terms apply.
Levi Strauss & Co. stands behind the quality of everything we sell, and we want you to be happy with the Jacket.
What is covered by this warranty
This warranty only applies to the consumer purchaser of the Jacket from Levi’s authorised reseller. We will give you a replacement or, if a replacement is not readily available, a refund when you make a claim in accordance with the procedure set out in "How to make a claim under this warranty" below and we decide, following the procedure described in that section, that there is a manufacturing or material defect in the Jacket (or any part of the Jacket including the Tag).
If you are a consumer who bought the Jacket, you have statutory rights in relation to the Jacket and those rights are not affected by this warranty, which is provided in addition to the statutory rights.
Specific provisions for consumers who bought the Jacket in Australia
If you are a consumer who bought the Jacket in Australia, our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure and compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. You are also entitled to have the goods repaired or replaced if the goods fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure. Those rights are not affected by this warranty.
Specific provisions for consumers who bought the Jacket in France
If you are a consumer who bought the Jacket in France, Levi’s is liable for any non-conformity of the Jacket (Articles L. 217-4 to L. 217-16 of the French Consumer Code) and any hidden defects in the conditions set forth in Articles 1641 to 1648 and 2232 of the French Civil Code.
Section L. 217-4 of the French Consumer Code: The seller shall deliver a good in conformity with the contract and shall be responsible for lack of conformity existing at the time of delivery. It is also responsible for compliance defects resulting from packaging, assembly instructions or the installation where the contract states it is responsible for this or where it has been performed under its responsibility.
Section L. 217-5 of the French Consumer Code: To comply with the contract, the good must:
- Be suitable for use usually expected of a similar good and, if applicable:
- match the description given by the seller and possess the qualities that the latter has presented to the buyer in the form of a sample or model;
- present the qualities that a buyer may legitimately expect considering the public statements made by the seller, by the producer or by his representative, particularly in advertising or labeling;
- Or have characteristics defined by mutual agreement of the parties or be suited to any special use sought by the buyer, brought to the knowledge of the seller, and that the latter has accepted.
Section L. 217-12 of the French Consumer Code: Action resulting from the lack of conformity is barred two years after delivery of the good.
Section L. 217-16 of the French Consumer Code: When the buyer requests the seller to carry out repairs covered by his contractual warranty, the period of any resultant shutdown of seven days or longer shall be added to the unexpired term of the warranty. Said period shall run from the time when the buyer requests assistance or the time when the product is taken out of service pending repair, should this be subsequent to the request for assistance.
Section 1641 of the French Civil Code: The seller must warrant against latent defects in the thing sold which render it unfit for the use for which it was intended, or so diminish its use, that the buyer would not have acquired it or would have given a lower price, if it had known about them.
Section 1648 of the French Civil Code, first paragraph: Action resulting from latent defects must be brought by the buyer within a period of two years from the discovery of the defect.
Specific provisions for consumers who bought the Jacket in Italy
If you are a consumer who bought the Jacket in Italy, your statutory rights under the Italian consumer code (Legislative Decree no. 206/2005) will not be affected by this warranty.
Duration of this warranty
This warranty lasts for 1 year from your purchase of the Jacket.
How to make a claim under this warranty
If you feel your Jacket (or any part of the Jacket) has a manufacturing or material defect, your Jacket (including the Tag) must be returned for inspection to a Levi's Customer Service center that services the country where you bought your Jacket. Together with your Jacket (including the Tag), please include your name, full address, email address, phone number, clear explanation of the defect, the address of the shop at which you purchased your item and original receipt of purchase. You must send your Jacket (including the Tag) with the cost of shipment pre-paid by you, and we suggest that you also insure the shipment at your cost.
We may contact you after receiving your Jacket for further information.
If, following receipt of the item, relevant information and inspection, the information we received and inspection of the item lead to the conclusion that your Jacket (or any part of the Jacket) that you have an issue with (as applicable) has a manufacturing or material defect, we will send you a replacement or, if a replacement is not readily available, a refund. If the conclusion so reached is that your Jacket (or the relevant part of the Jacket) does not have any such defect, it will be returned to you with a letter of explanation.
Your personal data
If you return your Jacket to make a claim under this warranty, Levi Strauss & Co will (i) collect and use your personal data to consider and process your claim and to contact you in relation to your claim and (ii) share or disclose your personal data with other Levi Strauss & Co. group companies and, if your claim relates to the component or equipment supplied by Google, share such personal data with Google for the purposes of consideration and processing of your claim. The personal data which we collect and process about you when you make a claim under this warranty may be subject to data protection and privacy laws. In some countries, we may also need to obtain your consent to process your personal data to comply with applicable laws.

What is not covered by this warranty
This warranty is only valid and enforceable in the countries that the Jacket was purchased and will apply only if you purchased your Jacket from Levi’s authorised resellers.
This warranty does not apply to damage to the Jacket caused by (i) normal wear and tear, (ii) any use of the Jacket (or any part of the Jacket) other than in accordance with the Product Guide or any document, information and instructions inside the box for the Jacquard™ Tag or on the packaging or labels, (iii) unauthorised modifications, (iv) unauthorised repair, or (v) solely you or your fault.
If any term of this warranty is held to be illegal or unenforceable, the remaining terms of this warranty will remain in full force and effect.
